Curriculum Vitae

I specialize in the areas of race, ethnicity and politics and critical political theory.  My current teaching and research interests focus on the disposabilty of migrant labor within racial capitalism.   My work seeks to destabilize the naturalization of law within state-sanctioned racial violence.

Career Profile
 I earned a Ph.D. in Political Science at UCLA in 2013.  Currently, I teach at Diablo Valley  College in the Department of Political Science.  My training across disciplinary boundaries has provided me the research and pedagogical skills to teach courses ranging from American Government, Political Theory, Race and Politics, Latina/o Politics to United States History and Chicana/o and Latina/o History.
